We had a slight roadblock for our project. We had a schedule planned out to write a screenplay, shoot the film and we were on track. We were working on the screenplay, but we decided to go with a completely different story that had already been written. This avenue seems to be the easiest route simply because we now have a completed screenplay.
The screenplay was written by Bennie and she will also serve as the director of the film. I will be taking on several different roles including assistant director, camera operator, lighting operator, and editor. We are using this project for our Advanced Production class, as well. Casting call flyers are being made and will be placed around campus early this week. Casting should be completed by the end of the week and we will begin production next week.
All of the members of our production class have chosen their roles and a lot of the location scouting has already been completed. Fortunately, there were not many locations for the film and it should be a relatively easy film to shoot, if everything falls into place as expected.
A timeline has been outlined and if we do not run into any major problems we will be able to turn in a solid 3 - 4 minute scene for the March 17th deadline. Production will continue through March and into the first week of April. The first couple of weeks in April will be dedicated to post production. We will have a more polished schedule by Wednesday this week.
